Since 1993, Enda Enerji Holding A.Ş. (Enda) has been operating in the renewable energy sector. As part of its strategic plan to increase its total wind and solar capacity to over 500 MW by 2030, the Company has added three new Solar Power Plants (SPPs) to its portfolio. Through its subsidiary Egenda Ege Enerji Üretim A.Ş., Enda has acquired 100% of the shares of Anjea Enerji Üretim Sanayi and ER GES 2 Sanayi, which collectively own unlicensed solar plants with a total installed capacity of 8.94 MW, for a purchase price of USD 10.5 million. With this acquisition, Enda’s current total capacity has increased from 180.1 MW to 189.12 MW.
Metin Tuncay, General Manager of Enda, shared the following remarks regarding the new investments, which are subject to the YEKDEM feed-in tariff set to expire in 2028 and 2030, respectively:
“By committing to international climate agreements such as the Paris Agreement and the European Green Deal Action Plan, Turkey has initiated a major transformation in the energy sector. As such, renewable energy investments are expected to accelerate in the coming years. It is estimated that the country will require a total of USD 91.2 billion in energy generation investments by 2035. One of the main goals of the National Energy Action Plan is to achieve most of this capacity expansion from renewable energy sources.
In line with these targets, we at Enda will continue our investments with determination. We aim to increase our capacity to over 500 MW by 2030 through financially sustainable projects. This would place us among the top 20 companies in terms of installed capacity under today’s market conditions.
As a brand rooted in İzmir, we are committed to reducing foreign energy dependence, supporting the green transition, and expanding our impact by developing new electricity generation projects based entirely on renewable energy sources.”
